With an eye for adventure and natural yearning for travel, the Magoffins became a pioneering family in the El Paso area and often attracted more adventurers to the family-but when the adventuring was done they returned to the familiar surroundings of the Magoffin Home.

Well known as hosts to the finest parties and galas in the area, influential in all manner of city affairs and business, as well as influential in the

founding of the city itself—regardless of where you looked you would find the Magoffin influence.  So pervasive the influence, it is said that some of the Magoffin Family reside in the Home to this day.
