From Joseph Magoffin,  the son of El Paso pioneer, James Wiley Magoffin, who originally constructed the home, to General William Jefferson Glasgow and Harriet Glasgow  Lucker and to the last member of the family to reside in the home, Octavia Magoffin Glasgow. The home and residents has long been at the center of El Paso's social and political scene.
